Comisia şi Universitatea nu are niciun feld e satisfacţie să anunţe asta. Teza lui Ponta încalcă principiile eticii. Comisia nu a făcut decât să examineze forma tezei de doctorat, nu s-a pronunţat legat de conţinut.
Teza are 297 de pagini plus anexe. Elementele de plagiat au fost identificate mai ales în capitolele 1 si 3. Comisia doreşte să exprime foarte clar: Trăim o perioadă complicată. E vorba de o teză din 2003. Normele există de dinainte de 2003, de 230 de ani.
O preluare copiată identic dintr-un text al unui autor. Preluările sunt de mai multe ordine: unele se referă la comentarii rezumate la două cuvinte la un text copiat. Alteori, sunt dislocate elemente din diverse lucrări. Vă atrag atenţia asupra faptului că s-a copiat în succesiune. Sunt pagini întregi traduse din limba engleză. A mai fost folosit mixaj. A fost o muncă de a asambla din părţi dinstincte propriul text. Sunt şi elemente de judecată care aparţin autorilor.
Oare în 2003 normele de redactare nu erau aceleaşi? Normele de a pune ghilimele, de a cita, de a avea bibliografie. Nu este posibil să ai o teză cu 40 de referinţe şi câteva note de subsol. Atunci când oameni simpli observă ceea ce se întâmplă în acest moment cu teza de doctorat a lui Ponta au mari semne de întrebare. Am dorit să dăm un semnal foarte clar comunităţii academice că ar trebui să ne gândim la lucrurile simple, la parcursul de cercetător.
Despre dosarul de presă: Anexa identifică plagiatul, iar anexa doi e lista completă a paginilor de unde s-a preluat şi modul în care a fost copiat. Universitatea a anunţat faptul că va apela la experţi. Chestiunea experţilor se referă la conţinut. Noi am analiza forma. Cele două lucruri nu sunt legate unul de altul.
Acesta este cel de-al doilea verdict de plagiat decis în cazul Ponta, după cel dat de Consiliul Naţional pentru Atestarea Titlurilor, Diplomelor şi Certificatelor Universitare (CNATCDCU), comisie desfiinţată între timp de fostul ministru interimar al Educaţiei Liviu Pop. Universitatea Bucureşti a decis să analizeze teza de doctorat susţinută în 2003 de premier. Rectorul Universităţii Bucureşti poate decide anularea diplomei lui Ponta.
